All of the food and drinks were excellent as was the service. Gave it four stars because I thought the prices were a little steep for the location. Nice bar inside and outside.

I'm giving this place only 3 stars because the food was good - but not 4 star worthy. It's more of a bar than a restaurant inside and the outside deck wasn't open on our visit. I craved a slightly dirty martini chilled really well straight up, so I went on a limb and ordered it (which brought about an eye roll from one of my traveling companions - as I clearly setting myself up for disappointment). However,, the bartender nailed it spot on. So I had another. The other three with me felt their drinks were weak. The food (started with wings, then soup if the day which was creamy broccoli with ham and cheddar - highlight of the meal- then patty melt and Greek salad, split with my hubby) took awhile and was good not spectacular. Wish the Greek salad had beets instead of the red peppers. We didn't find much to choose from in the area to choose from. But pleasantly surprised by this spot. Service was friendly.

I had a Black and Blu Burger. I substituted Deep Fried Cheese Curds for French Fries The service was good and the food was tasty. I definitely will com where again if I come through La Crosse.

I was just passing through and needed to overnight, wanted a simple meal with a great view and found both here! The service was Midwestern-friendly, and print even after they apologized in advance for a possibly slower kitchen because they also had two banquets going on. The food was good and the view from one of the outdoor tables was great, watching the sun set over the Mississippi River on a summer night.

Above average food for the price. Pretty decent view which explains the slightly high prices. Large serving sizes and the kids meals are very big. Only $5 for kids meals. $8-$12 for adult meals. More of a beach club type place, not a fancy supper club type place. We ordered here 3 times over 2 days and everything was good.

I don't know why this place is rated with four dollar symbols. The food is reasonably priced with large portions. We ate there a few times and tried numerous selections. Their pizzas are good with plenty of cheese and toppings. The burgers are big and made to order, (tasty too). One night I had their steak sandwich. It was more than I could eat with tender sliced steak, mushrooms, onions, and cheese. My wife had a Cobb salad with a sliced grilled chicken breast on top. It was huge she seemed to enjoy it. Also it has a full bar with plenty of t.v.'s along with plenty of bar type appetizers to choose from. I'm not a food critic, but if you want a place to have a beer and a burger you won't be disappointed.

Nice looking bar. They have a little stage where they have comedy which I am excited to see. Weak drinks, but nice bartenders. There aren't a lot of things on the menu that look appealing, but the quinoa is pretty good. I just wish it didn't have eggplant in it.

We went here last night 7/13/2011 for the 1st time. We came on our boat about 7 P.M. Nice docks:) great being outside with nice live music. Had to go ask if we could get waited on and took forever to get 3 tap beers. Ordered our food at the same-time took forever to get our food. I ordered wings and sauce on the side, sauce was on the wings ordered ranch didn't get that. One person ordered hamburger and fries asked For ketchup @ least 3 times never did get it. Never came back to ask us if we wanted anymore to drink, wtf is that all about we also ordered a coke and never did get that :(((((.

We went to River Jacks while we were visiting La Crosse last week. It was my birthday dinner so I was really looking forward to a nice meal. First things first, our waitress had no idea what any of the specials or even the second choice of vegetable. Then after our food was brought to us by two different waitresses from our original waitress, no one came back to check how our food was until they saw that we were ready for our bill. Seeing as it was my birthday, I was hoping to have a little dessert. Again the waitress could not tell me what they had for dessert so we decided we would go elsewhere for that. I ordered a $23 Porterhouse steak and it was not cooked the way I had asked for it. It was defiantly not worth the $84 bill we had at the end of the night!
